Before a decisive battle for land between Norse clans, one of the Vikings' leader, Bjorn Ironheart received a vision from Odin. Instructed to infuse nettle leaves into their mead and drink it in the heat of battle for victory, Bjorn followed Odin's guidance.
In the midst of battle, the echoing Gjallarhorn resounds, prompting all to reach for their drinks in that moment. An unexpected calm enveloped the battlefield. Weapons fell, replaced by confusion and curious glances. Opposing leader took it as a sign of surrender, so he ordered his warriors to put their weapons down. They cast their gaze upon their foes, who swiftly erupted into cheers, dance, and clinking horns filled with nettle mead. Moments later, these very adversaries approached, offering nettle mixture to the enemy warriors. Despite their initial distrust, one amongst them accepted the gesture, then another, and another followed suit. Suddenly, laughter burst forth, and adversaries turned into companions. A campfire was lit, stories were shared, and the nettle powerful essence transformed hearts.
In the glow of the fire, former foes found unity, breaking stereotypes of war. On that day, there was not only a lesson for the Vikings themselves, but also for an Odin, who had slightly different intentions. To this day, he scratches his head, trying to unravel the extraordinary properties of this mystical plant.
